PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Combine human creativity with AI-powered storytelling

The creative writing minor cultivates imaginative, adaptable storytellers who can read deeply, write powerfully, and engage meaningfully with a changing cultural, technological, and professional landscape. Students hone their skills in a variety of genres including writing within and beyond traditional literary forms, the commercial marketplace, and emerging platforms.

In workshop settings, students read as writers and apply editing and revision strategies to refine their own work and the work of others.

The minor encourages ethical and thoughtful engagement with emerging technologies, preparing students to guide creative and intelligent systems with human judgment, imagination, and narrative purpose.
